Techniques and skills to improve focus and memory
When someone is talking to you, you listen closely, but if we miss out something, we ask the person to repeat it more slowly.
This paraphrase makes us understand and process information more properly. If you become distracted. During the conversations we try to get in contact with people in quiet environment. Example when we meet someone in a restaurant, we try to sit and book a table near the wall, if the companion sets against the wall and visit facing them, we focus on them without our attention, wander anywhere else, so hence we can improve our ability to focus on a task and screen out distractions. If you do only one thing at a time, so we should try to avoid interruptions.
So here are the few techniques through which we cannot only remember the information, but also retain them in our brains.
• Remembering things in sequence : it involves imagining the data or the information in a sequence and visualising back-and-forth towards the information in sequence. For instance, if you are trying to memorise a recipe for banana bread, you might imagine placing bananas on the couch sugar next to the lamp Milk on the piano bench and so on, then in your mind will go back around a room. Pick up the bananas, sugar and the milk in order, you placed them.
•Chunking:
Linking groups of items to things from your memory can also help make them more memorable. You might be more likely to remember that you need eggs, baking, soda, and chocolate chips. If you associate the items with the delicious cookies that your mother used to make chewing is grouping small bits of information together, which are alike, example bank accounts Numbers, credit cards, phone numbers, mathematics, physics, et cetera
•Mnemonics :
A short hand representation of longer phrase created using the initial letters of each word, which are typically written in capital letters and pronounced as a single word.Ne Manik are nothing but familiar words or rhyming words, which Help us, learn and recall informationit is nothing other than a special word which is used to help a person remember an information, a poem or anything relatable. It is a strategy to consciously improve your memory. It is very useful to change short-term memory into a long-term memory. Lemon not only improvises your English, but also helps us to strategise studies.
•Mindfulness technique:
Last, but not the least is the mindfulness technique. It takes repeated practice with maintaining the focus on your attention on the here and now to be able to do it for more than just a moment or two.
Through mindfulness technique, the ability to sustain your attention improves. Anxiety is decreased. Sleep is improved. Blood pressure is lowered. Ability to cope with studies is improved. Cognition is improved.
